Open Circle Conversation by Creative Research Lab
On Friday 1st of September The Creative Research Lab (UWC) presented a performative offering at NEXXUS that was followed by a Circle Conversation where the artists and the audience shared provocations in response to the performance and the exhibition which were layered with themes of connection, fragmentation and allowing.
Responses to the offering explored sympathetic connections through embodied play... "It was like being in a playground, finding moments to play with everyone else..."

On Friday1st of September The Creative Research Lab (TUT) facilitated an open conversation around the performance offering, "What shall we Weep?" Dr Refiloe Lepere facilitated the conversation around notions of loss and memory.

On Saturday 2nd of September The Creative Research Lab (TUT) again facilitated the performance offerings. Due to imminent loadshedding, the performance "Strings" by Diana Ferrus, Garth Erasmus, Sonya Rademeyer and Franco Prinsloo was immediately followed up with the second performance offering: "Recipes, Remedies and Rumors" by Refiloe Lepere and Itumeleng Moeketsi, with Nomfundo Masilela.
Despite the darkened AVA gallery, our open circle conversations were facilitated with fervour and passion by Dr Karina Lemmer (TUT) and Katlego Chale (UWC)
